Our projects

Save7 is committed to creating meaningful change through projects focused on education, healthcare, and sustainability. Each initiative is designed to make a lasting impact, improving lives and building stronger communities. Discover our projects below, and join us in shaping a brighter future.

The Lifepod:

Currently, Tygerberg Hospital is losing up to 100 viable organs each year. This is largely due to a lack of infrastracture to support organ preservation between the time of the donor's passing and the transplant.

We we converted an unused room in Tygerberg Hospital into a dedicated donor ICU. The Lifepod features state-of-the-art equipment and is situated right next to the theatre complex. We want to thank all our donors and supporters.

While sufficient funds have been raised to build the first Lifepod, we are not planning on slowing down. Donate to Save7 and help fund our future projects

In-person events:

Save7 organises awareness and fundraising events across both medical and non-medical university campuses.

We have also hosted debates among high school students on organ donation, promoting critical thinking while initiating meaningful conversations around the topic.

Media campaigns:

Save7 runs targeted campaigns across social media, using engaging content and AI chatbots to educate and assist potential organ donors. These tools make information accessible and interactive, helping users understand the process and encouraging registration.

We also partner with leading traditional media outlets—including eNCA, Expresso, HeartFM, Carte Blanche, News24, and others—to extend our reach. These collaborations ensure credible, wide-scale awareness and spark public conversations around the importance of organ donation.

If you are a journalist or public figure and would like to help spread the word or cover our initiatives, we would love to hear from you.
